Speak Up Now

The budget overview released by the Trump administration on Friday, May 2 indicates that federal funding for afterschool and summer would be decimated under the proposal. The president’s proposal appears to eliminate 21st CCLC entirely or collapse it into a consolidated grant program, lumping 18 programs together in a total fund of $2 billion to be provided to states. With $12 billion in cuts to education programs overall, the consolidation effectively eliminates 21st CCLC afterschool and summer program grants.Speak Up Now

The Afterschool Alliance has launched a campaign,
Afterschool Works for America,
to fight to restore these cuts in congress.
