What is the STEM Mobile Lab?
The Missouri AfterSchool Network STEM Mobile Lab transports an afterschool-designed lab of hands-on activities featuring Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to afterschool programs across the state of Missouri. The lab is driven by a MASN STEM Educator who not only brings supplies and equipment needed for selected activities but also leads professional development for after-school staff. This on-site learning lab is available by registration for a program week designed to include 3-5 consecutive days up to 10+ hours of on-site efforts including youth-engaged afterschool programming, special events, and professional development.

To express interest in the STEM Mobile Lab Consultation, begin by completing the online registration form. This brief survey will request details such as your location, contact information and level of interest (please select one option):

Members of the STEM Mobile Lab team will contact the program representative to schedule the initial STEM Mobile Lab consultation.
STEM Mobile Lab team member(s) will join program/site after school professional(s) on a virtual platform to learn the interest, thoughts and vision the STEM Mobile Lab on-site efforts. Consultation includes incorporating the program/site level interest to the on-site mentoring, co-facilitation of playlists and professional development options. Date Selection:
- Review after school calendar for program week that will include 3-5 consecutive days up to 10+ hours of afterschool programming and/or special events. Is this a week when team members are available to participate in an optional Professional Development?

TIPS: Consider scheduling a time that supports your program goals! When can you get the most experience with the STEM Mobile Lab? For the selected week do you have full programming or even higher programming allowed through an early release day? Does this week typically have less time commitment for families, like a community fair or spring choir concert?
During the planning period, program professionals will receive an email from the University of Missouri, Extension on behalf of the MASN STEM Mobile Lab, with the $5,000 consulting fee invoice.
TEM Mobile Lab team member(s) will join program/site after school professional(s) on a virtual platform to review the requested playlists and (optional) professional development. During this consultation, program and/or site leadership will be requested to share some details of the afterschool building, designated building space(s) and additional site-specific details.
