Afterschool 101: How to become a SUPER staff ASAP! | Sheryl Godsy | In this session participants will explore some of the knowledge, skills, and traits of an Afterschool Professional. They will also learn about resources for planning purposeful programming, explore elements for establishing a proactive behavior management plan, learn how to establish expectations and learn how to facilitate activities that build relationships and support students in an afterschool program. Participants will increase awareness of professionalism in practice and set up personal goals for improvement and implementing new practices. |
Make Way for Play | Tyler Kearns | Let that inner child out and join me as we make way for play! Play is such an important part of development for both kids and adults, but why? This workshop will work to answer that. We will connect the benefits of play to development, provide play idea concepts that children can connect with and learn from, and go hands on providing games that can be used immediately in programming. |
