The Missouri AfterSchool Network has four standing committees that meet four times throughout the year. All afterschool stakeholders, such as program administrators, site staff, parents, community partners, local intermediaries, business leaders, and policymakers, are invited to participate in the quarterly Afterschool Committee Meetings. The Quality/Professional Development Committee is a standing committee that provides leadership for quality related partnerships and policies, along with the development of specific system components that ensure an educated workforce and quality programs.
The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Committee is a standing committee that provides leadership for STEM related partnerships and policies, along with coordinating efforts to improve access to and professional development for STEM activities in out-of-school time settings.
Have a voice in increasing public knowledge and support for high-quality afterschool programming across the state.
The Public Awareness Committee is a standing committee that provides a forum for afterschool programs and partners to raise awareness of the value and importance of afterschool and summer enrichment programs throughout the state.
Support grassroots and local advocacy efforts, including the Afterschool Ambassadors program and round table events.
The Policy and Advocacy Committee is a standing committee that leads advocacy efforts that build support for policies at the local, state, and federal levels that help to sustain and improve access to afterschool programs.
