MASN's 5th Annual Youth Advocacy Summit
October 14–15 | Jefferson City
For youth in grades 7-12 enrolled in afterschool programs.
Youth will learn about advocacy and the election process through a hands-on project: building a candidate platform, running a campaign, and voting in a primary and general election. Beyond serving as candidates and campaign staff, participants will train as election judges to learn about election integrity in Missouri. As the culmination, youth will visit the capitol and plan the agenda for this year’s Voice Of the Youth (VOY) council.
What’s covered:
- The summit is free
- MASN covers food and hotel for youth
- MASN covers the cost for two adult supervisors
