More about Youth Entrepreneurship

Every student deserves the opportunity to experience entrepreneurship, and students can apply the entrepreneur mindset and skillset to any career path they choose!

Missouri afterschool and summer learning programs are setting K-12 students on a pathway to entrepreneurship to start and run micro-businesses and social ventures today, and imagine possibilities for the future.

MASN combines nationally-recognized curriculum, community-driven programs and Missouri entrepreneurial ecosystem support to empower K-12 students to:

  • Explore entrepreneurship and generate and develop their own ideas
  • Gain and practice skills as young entrepreneurs
  • Connect with peers, entrepreneurs, and support systems in their communities
  • Access extended experiences and discover opportunities beyond high school

Resources and opportunities:

Through the Mott Foundation’s youth entrepreneurship grant to MASN, all Missouri afterschool and summer learning programs can access K-12 entrepreneurship curriculum/toolkits, micro-grant funding, professional development, state event opportunities for K-12 students, and program coaching/technical assistance.
