Youth Entrepreneurship Pitch Challenge

The Young Entrepreneur Pitch Challenge is a fun and exciting youth business idea pitch contest open to ALL K-12 afterschool students throughout Missouri. The pitch challenge supports young people in developing 21st Century workforce readiness skills. By developing a mindset and skill set of an entrepreneur, young people have an edge for ANY career path they choose.

Extended video submissions until May 10. Please feel free to visit our YouTube channel to learn more about the challenge from YEI and MASN staff.

Educators and families: download this free toolkit to help students create and prepare their pitch presentation! You can also access the 2020 Pitch Competition flyer here.

YES, YOU’RE INVITED! — the first-ever Missouri Young Entrepreneur Pitch Challenge for Missouri K-12 afterschool students is being converted to a video submission contest!  Missouri afterschool program participants are invited to sign up and submit a video pitch of an idea for a business they would like to start.

ENTERING IS EASY AS 1-2-3!

  1. Think of a business idea YOU would like to start. It can be a product, service, social venture, or even a technology business.
  2. Create a one-minute PITCH (or creative presentation) about your business idea (like Shark Tank!)
  3. REGISTER for the Young Entrepreneur Pitch Challenge and upload your video here.

PRACTICE your pitch with an afterschool pal or family member. Keep it short, 60 seconds in length, just enough to reveal your BIG IDEA and make a few points. Record your pitch with a phone, tablet, or computer. Video submissions will be judged within-grade categories (K-5, 6-8, and 9-12) on 1) creativity, 2) persuasiveness, and 3) quality.
