In 2015, the Missouri AfterSchool Network (MASN) merged with the Missouri School Age Community Coalition (MOSAC2), the state’s afterschool professional association. MASN is now the Missouri’s National Afterschool Association affiliate and MOSAC2 continues through the annual Professional Development Institute that travels through different regions of the state.
Through this merger, MASN continues its commitment to convening a statewide network of individuals and organizations to build partnerships, influence policy, and improve quality. Additionally as the NAA Affiliate and state professional association, we are able to offer membership benefits and provide a unified voice for afterschool professionals in state and national conversations. Together, we can all ensure that the perspective of those working in programs is represented in the systems building work for the state of Missouri.
The National Afterschool Association is the nationwide membership association for professionals who work with children and youth in diverse school and community-based settings to provide a wide variety of extended learning opportunities and care during out-of-school hours. The mission of the National AfterSchool Association is to foster development, provide education, and encourage advocacy for the out-of-school-time community.
